Fresh off the PDF printer we’d like to introduce you to our newest pattern: The Geometry Top!
This little labor of love is loose, easy, and most importantly pairs perfectly with jeans so it’s great for your everyday wardrobe. We’ve played with style lines to create a pattern that is both graphic and effortless. No closures or tricky fitting – just throw this top on and go!
Laney and I recommend using light fabrics with lots of drape for the Geometry Top. We’ve made it up in tons of textiles including; polyester crepe, silk habotai, chiffon, and rayon challis. The contrast panels at the side seams and shoulders allow for endless fabric combinations. Also, despite being designed for wovens, this pattern sews up really nicely in knits too (we aren’t kidding about the endless fabric combinations).
Although the pattern assembly is quite simple we’ve assigned the Geometry Top an intermediate skill level because of the fiddly nature of the suggested fabrics. If you’re a little nervous about sewing with delicate fabrics I think you’ll be happy to hear that we’ve included a bonus section within the pattern instructions with advice for sewing with silks and silk-like fabrics. If you’re a beginner and feeling brave this pattern is a great way to enter the wonderful world of silks. A little fabric stabilizer works miracles, we promise.
And because every pattern release deserves some celebrating, we’re offering the Geometry Top pattern at 20% off until Sunday, October 26th! Hooray!
Happy sewing everyone!
