I have a diamond in the rough to share with you today, Simplicity 1615. A simple top, but so cute and wearable. The trick is realizing this pattern’s potential. The cover art is a total snooze, blends right into the back ground of a Simplicity pattern catalog. Had I not stumbled upon this pattern review I would have passed it by and never been the wiser. I’m especially excited about the cut of the back which makes it just a little more exciting than your classic cami.

WARNING, this pattern has a RIDICULOUS amount of ease. Again I owe pattern review a huge debt. According to the sizing chart I am a size 12, what I ended up cutting was a size 6! So I highly recommend measuring the pattern pieces before you select a size. That issue aside the pattern sewed up great. I lengthened the straps a touch to lower the front neckline which caused the top to scoop a little lower than I like at the arm pits. However that will be a quick fix next time around and won’t stop me from getting some wear out of this baby.
