It seems traditional in times such as these to reflect on the past year and its highs and lows. But this just feels too serious for my celebratory mood. So instead let’s have a little fun. Laney & I practice a form of photography we coined blitz photography where in we take hundreds (literally hundreds) of pictures in the hope that a couple will turn out presentable. As you might image we have accrued quite a collection of fugly pictures. So why not share the wealth? Therefore without further ado I present for your visual pleasure our gloriously awkward selves.
I’ve read some tips on blogging over the year. One piece of advice suggested interacting with your environment. I think I should be discouraged from doing this….
Laney is always impressed by my witty repartee behind the camera.
We loved being able to include Sarah’s fluffy friend Layla in their debut post, but Layla wasn’t always ladylike in front of the camera…
Circle skirts are MUCH more exciting than you would imagine. Meow!
And who can forget this disaster? I believe the answer is no one.
Turns out it takes a village to create a sewing blog. This is the photoshoot that almost caused my boyfriend to have a meltdown. He’d been clubbing most of the night before while I was at home madly finishing a bra top. You know just another weekend. Anyway no one got much sleep and we were up at 7am the following morning to get these pictures done. Sleep deprivation, harsh light, no coffee, playsuits, and leering shirtless old men, the perfect storm. But he pushed through and the pictures turned out fabulous. Now that’s what I consider true love. Thanks Boyfriend!
I was particularly charming on this weekend. Work it girl!
Something definitely smells in that photo to the right.
Oh my goodness this post was even more fun to write than I had imagined, but I’m going to have mercy on you poor souls and call it a wrap. Thank you for supporting our blogging adventures. It’s been a blast!
